I arrived with some friend in the Philippines on the 5th of January. The was flight was relatively short 16 hours but very uncomfortable as I had a bad hangover from the previous night drinking. Haha!

I will be compiling different pictures of my adventures here in the Philippines. *oink* *oink* I will share with you the many great people I met, delicious and exotic food I ate and also unforgettable travel adventures. *oink*

My first adventure takes me to the largest Island of the Calamian archipelago in the Northern part of Palawan province in the Philippines, Busuanga. Nice beaches, gentle landscape, good hiking and great diving make the island a good holiday destination. Wreck diving is the main attraction and many Japanese ships wait patiently for you under the sea. And the largest town on the island is called, Coron. *oink* *oink*

Traveling to Coron, Palawan was really memorable. The town is beautiful and the sandy beaches are amazing. Coron is both the name of a town on Busuanga, and the name of the island just offshore. The island is famous for its wreck diving, and the site has been named in many lists of top dive spots in the world. In September 1944, a fleet of Japanese ships hiding in the harbour were sunk in a daring raid by the US navy. The result is around ten well preserved shipwrecks surrounded with coral reef.

There are also attractions on Coron Island itself. There are many beautiful bleach white sand beaches, mostly tiny and surrounded by large limestone cliffs and wildlife. Barracuda and Kayangan lakes are both stunning locations, and the island also has a mysterious indegenous tribe who are notably shy of outsiders. *oink*

I spent time with friends snorkeling, sleeping at a seaside dive lodge, diving, eating, running away from jelly fishes, feeding schools of fishes, swimming with sea turtles, and exploring WWII sunken ships. I will share more stories of my Coron, Palawan adventure in the other areas of this blog. *oink* *oink*
